Sleepy Wes

Wes always makes me laugh when he is sleeping because his lips keep on sucking even after he has spit out his binky. Here is a little video of him doing his thing:

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. First of all, Kurt got Friday and Monday off, woohoo! We left Friday morning and stopped in Ventura Harbor to meet up with my old 7th grade students and team teachers on their beach field trip. After a few hours there we continued on to Pismo to enjoy a weekend away with Kurt's company. They all camped on the beach, literally feet away from the waves of the ocean. We stayed with our friends Mallory and Kevin who live nearby.

This is the Newline Smile Team:
Mal holding Wes on the beach. It was pretty cold there, so he is super bundled up. Mal held him the entire time she was with us, a nice break for us.
Shortly after pulling away from our campsite we got our car stuck in the sand... for the second time that day, and had to have Roli pull us out.
We bought an umbrella for Wes and he hung out and napped on the beach.
Wes was a very popular attraction with the other kids on the trip. He was the youngest of nine little ones there over the weekend.
Kurt's boss, Roli had lots of cool toys, including a rhino that he took us both back in the dunes with.
We came home on Sunday night. Wes and I sat on the bench and watched Daddy unpack the car.
On Monday afternoon we joined our friends Dan, Delaine, Reagan, Katherine and Ethan at a local park.
Wes has always been interested in sucking on his hands, but he is just starting to get the hang of sucking on his thumb.
Bella got really thirsty after playing with Addie at the park. I always think it is so cute when she drinks from a water fountain.
What a great weekend we had together. I especially want to say thank you to all the men and women who have served our country, particularly those who have given their lives for us, whom we honor on this holiday.

Happy Birthday Melissa

We had a few people over to celebrate Melissa's birthday. Dan barbecued for us (Kurt was out of town on business) and we enjoyed eating together and hanging out. Here are two new dads, Jason with little Jackson (1 month) and Kurt with Wes. I love how Wes is looking over at Jackson. I was taking Wes' three month old pictures and Reagan arrived, so we took a few of them two together in front of some new flowers I planted to make the house a little prettier and surprise Kurt. Then Ethan came, too, so we took some more fun pictures. All three babies are at different stages of sitting up, with Wes just starting to, using the help of the bumbo, Ethan doing really well and just getting a little extra support from the boppy, and Reagan all on her own.

3 Months Old!

Seriously, where does the time go? I cannot believe our little Weston is already three months old, nor can I believe how much he has changed. Here are a few pictures (its so hard for me to choose, I think they are all super cute) from the big day.
