9 months old!

Well actually, he's close to 10 now, Im a bit behind... but better late than never. At his 9 month check up Wes measured 29 1/2 inches tall (90%) and 21 pounds 11 ounces (70%). The doctor was impressed with his physical development. Wes is really starting to walk well and the doctor also liked Wes' sleeping habits and that Wes puts himself to bed (so do i =)).

The last couple months have been a bit trying, our house has seemed like a revolving door of illnesses, poor little Wes battling two colds, teething (four new teeth on top), an ear infection and now the stomach flu. Kurt and I have also caught a few of these bugs. Otherwise, though, Wes is a very happy boy. He used to seem happiest at home but now gets frustrated if we don't go out and about. We are looking forward to his first Christmas and the fun of experiencing it through his eyes.

Baby Rugby and Modeling

Wasn't really sure what to call this one, Wes was just playing around having fun so I filmed it. He has this little stuffed pea that he was tossing and chasing around the room (for about 45 minutes) and at the end of this clip he decides to stop chasing and instead looks like he is posing for a photo shoot. What a goofball.

Silly Boy

After starting antibiotics for his ear infection Wes developed a very, very bad diaper rash in reaction. After trying many things I decided to try letting him air it out. I wasn't too fond of the idea of doing this inside so we went outside, but it was pretty cold so I kept a jacket and socks on him. He was pretty excited about it and promptly peed on the blanket.

Santa!

The day after Thanksgiving we went to a craft fair and Santa was there. Wes got to meet him for the first time and did pretty good. He was pretty excited to sit next to the Christmas tree with all the pretty lights and only started to fuss after several minutes of sitting on Santa's lap. We never could get him to smile there.

Dance Dance

It looks like Wes is in jail here, but actually he's just behind the gate that blocks him from joining me in the kitchen. If I am working in there he usually plays at the gate. In this video he was tired of playing without me and starting to fuss so I walked over to the gate and started to dance, and this is what ensued.

More Pumpkins

We went out to visit our local ranch yesterday. We got some great deals on produce and some super cute pumpkin pictures.

Our Cute Little Pumpkin

We had a fun Halloween. Wes was the cutest little pumpkin I've ever seen and we've got some relatives who will back that opinion up. The pictures are a little out of order, but we went over the both our parents as well as some other family nearby. Wes had a blast showing off for everyone else.
Wes is standing in this one (on his own). This past Tuesday he took two steps on his own and today he took three. He is eager to start walking.

This is when we first put his costume on, he was pretty excited.

At the end of the night, he was exhausted.

Having fun with Grandma Kim.

8 Months Today!

Well this might be a first, Im posting the pictures on the actual day that Weston has aged another month. I cannot believe he is eight months old, how quickly the months go by. Here are a few of the pictures to commemorate the time gone by (He's actually standing on his own in the last one).

The Park

Here is a video that shows how Wes crawls on the grass. He is usually in shorts on the grass and he doesn't care for the feel on his legs when he is crawling on it, so he has started crawling with his butt in the air whenever he is on the grass, as in the video (even though he is wearing pants this time, lol).

Playground

We went to the mall today with Reagan and Jackson and their mommies, Delaine and Ashley. After lunch we went up to the playground. It was Wes' first time and he LOVED it! He had so much fun and actually started to cry when I took him away. Can't wait to go back and play again.

7 Months

Well, now that Wes is half way through his seventh month, I will post his seven month pictures. Oops. As Wes gets older it is getting harder to take these pictures because he just wants to crumple and eat the paper.
