Memory Lane

Four years ago today Kurt and I were married. Its been fun to look back at pictures of when we were dating and of our wedding (we were so skinny!). Here are a few pictures from our wonderful wedding day... a little walk down memory lane.
This is shortly before Kurt proposed while on the Pedrick family yearly Bass Lake vacation.
Here we are, the happily engaged couple visiting Yosemite with Kurt's parents and brother.
This is one of our engagement pictures in Crestline..... and a few below from our wedding.

Jackson Cooper

Our friends Jason and Ashley Cooper had their son, Jackson, last night around 11 pm. Here is a picture of Wes and his new buddy Jackson, Wes looks huge next to him. It was so weird to hold him, I thought Wes was still little because I've only seen him around Reagan and Ethan (his friends who are older by a few months), but Jackson seems tiny to me. I can't believe Wes was once close to that size (8 pounds 3 ounces).

2 months old!

Wes is now two months old. We are having so much fun as he is really smiling a lot and has started talking a lot, too. We had his two month check up yesterday, the doctor said he looks perfect. He weighs 12 pounds and 15.8 ounces, so basically 13 pounds, which is the 82% for his age and is 24 3/4 inches long which is the 97% for his age.... he's a big boy.

Easter

We had a very nice Easter. We are so fortunate to live by both of our families that we get to spend most holidays with both families. Wes started the day by opening his first Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa Newman. Then we were able to go to church and have lunch in the park with Kurt's family. After that we went to my parents for a yummy ham dinner.

My Little Climber

Weston's favorite thing to do right now is to be placed on someone's shoulder and "climb" up it. Here is some rough footage of him climbing on Grandma's shoulder the other day. This is my first time posting video, so sorry its sort of sideways.

Buddies

Last night Ashley and Jason Cooper, Kenny, Katherine and Ethan Johnson, Delaine and Reagan Weaver, and Mark Baker came over. We had some dinner and the guys went to the spa while us girls (and the two little boys) hung out and talked. Here are some cute pictures from our night: Here's the four mamas (Jackson's due in a few weeks). I love how Ethan and Wes are looking at each other in this one.  This one cracks me up, Reagan is lounging and watching the boys play on the play mat (this was Wes' first time on the mat with someone else, we had to put them a bit apart because Ethan is good at grabbing and was going for Wes' face). Here are the three kiddos, their first group picture. Pretty soon we'll be able to do one with Jackson, too, and Wes won't be the smallest.  I was able to get a picture of each one smiling, but not in the same picture, so I just chose the picture where they were all looking.

Wes Update

Its been an exciting week for me (these things may not seem as exciting to everyone else, but I've been watching my little baby do little but eat and sleep and now I can tell he is starting to think through things and use his body more). Anyways, this week he started reaching for and grabbing toys on his play mat. I've also noticed that Wes is a lot more content sitting (in his bouncy chair) or lying on his own and exploring things with his eyes. He has also started to smile more (Im pretty sure its starting to be on purpose... but haven't been able to catch it on camera). We've noticed that he seems to be growing, he looks a lot longer to those of us who see him everyday. Here are a few pictures from Wes' exciting week. I stole this idea from our friends the Richeys who do this each month with their daughter. The only problem is I forgot to take the picture on the right day, so he's actually almost six weeks old here, oops. Two nights ago I put Wes on his tummy time surfboard and almost immediately he pulled his knees up underneath his body, worked his way to the edge of the orange pillow and rolled over, I was freaking out trying to grab the video camera but it happened so quickly I couldn't catch it, darn. I did snap a picture of where he ended up, though, just so I could show how far he moved on his own. Wes is such a wiggle worm.
