No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem

One of our favorite activities out here, talking to Wes on Skype.
We went to an Italian restaurant for dinner last night, Japanese tonight (all the food is included here, awesome).
We got to go scuba diving for the second time this morning.

Here is a shot of our resort from the water.
The water here is amazing, clear and warm.

Jamaica Mon!

Align RightWe are having lots of fun in Jamaica and we are so blessed to be surrounded by our amazing family who can love and take care of Wes while we are away. Today we woke up at 10 am (woohoo!) and went scuba diving, a first for both of us, and we also went to a lagoon that has micro-organisms that light up when disturbed, like fireflies. So it was pitch dark outside and when you jump in the water it lights up around you, or if a fish swims by its like a light going by. We tried to take pictures of it but it only turns out dark. We also had fun hanging out in a shallow pool with some lounge chairs in it here at the resort... here are some pictures.

4 Month Check Up

Wes went in for his four month check up today. He weighed in at 16 pounds 1 ounce (75th percentile) and is 26 1/4 inches long (90th percentile). The doctor gave the green light to start giving him rice cereal and juice, so we tried both today. Got a few funny faces with the juice and had a lot of fun with the cereal. He loved the cereal but wasn't too sure how to use the spoon; he kept pushing it out with his tongue and just wanted to lick the stuff off. I took some pictures, but they aren't the greatest since I was trying to feed and take pictures at the same time. The doctor was also impressed with his physical strength; he isn't really laughing yet (behind on that) but he is rolling over both ways (the doctor asked me if he was trying to roll to his side at all and I said he was rolling over both ways very often and the doctor was very surprised, he is way ahead on that). Wes got more shots, he screamed for that, but at least I didn't cry this time. Here are a few shots of our first rice cereal experience:

My Little Comedian

Kurt makes me laugh a lot, but his son has started a new habit that makes me laugh out loud all day long. Wes has recently found his tongue and is loving it, making "raspberries". At first it started as just sticking his tongue out but now he is making noises and spitting along with it.

Mohawk!

I put baby oil in Wes' hair the other day to start getting rid of his cradle cap and it didn't wash out to easily... it was sort of like gel in his hair, so I gave him a mohawk, it lasted all day long.

Weird Weather

The weather here has been strange, it was boiling hot and now its been cold and overcast. I've been keeping Wes in his pjs until 10 or so because the mornings are so chilly. Kurt and I went for a walk with Wes and Bella and I took a few pictures of Wes, all bundled up and snuggling his little giraffe... so sweet.
