Mother's Day
My first mother's day was very nice. We went to church in the morning with Kurt's family and then met them at the park for lunch. Later we met my family for dinner. I got a card that Wes and Bella actually helped Kurt write for me (he held the pen in their hand/paw while he wrote it) and they also got me a digital frame to show off all my cute pictures of Wes. Here are a few pictures from our day.

Cook Yourself Thin
This is my new favorite TV show! Seriously, if you like to cook at all and you want to learn some seriously creative tricks to make your favorite foods, only healthy, you've got to watch this show. Its on twice a day on the Lifetime Channel and I am super excited to start cooking some of these recipes. They took one woman's favorite dessert of chocolate and peanut butter from around 1000 calories to around 200 calories, and she loved it. Check it out, http://www.mylifetime.com/on-tv/shows/cook-yourself-thin , Im sure you'll love it, too.
Its Summer!

Santa Barbara
We were so blessed to be able to venture up to Santa Barbara for our fourth anniversary. Santa Barbara is where we went for our short 2 day honeymoon after our wedding (we took a belated honeymoon two years later). Kurt and I were talking and we realized we have been able to get away to a different location for each anniversary, we've done Calabasas, Santa Maria, Bass Lake and now Santa Barbara.

I left Friday afternoon and picked up Kurt in Thousand Oaks where he was working for the week. On Friday night we went to a very n
ice dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, they sat us at a table in the lounge where we had what we called the king and queen's chairs. The food was super yummy.
On Saturday we slept in (the first time in nearly three months! It was great!) We also went to the spa, my first time in a year. Then we drove into the hills of Santa Barbara and had lunch at Cold Creek Tavern, a restaurant where we filmed an engagement a couple of years ago. The tavern has been there since the 1880s and has some yummy, unique foods.
We stopped at the beach in Carpinteria on our way home. It was beautiful.
Wes stayed at home with Grandma and Grandpa on Friday night and Dawn on Saturday. We were very excited to see him on Saturday afternoon but so thankful for our time away, just the two of us.
