Yay!

Kurt got a job! He will start on Thursday with New Line Dental, a dental sales job. He will certainly need prayer as the weeks ahead will require much learning and growth. Thanks to all those who have been thinking of and praying for us in these last months of job searching. We are truly hoping this one is a career. In case you are interested, you can check out the company he will be working with at newlinesmilenetwork.com. Kurt also requested that I post a funny picture to go along with this, so here it is:

Bella the Wonderdog

Last week some weird things started to happen around the house. To start, I was in the living room in the middle of the night (I haven't really been sleeping well these last two weeks, so I get up a lot in the middle of the night) and this bright flash/spark went off. I was pretty sure it was from this one outlet, but it was also 2 in the morning and I was tired, so I just brushed it off. The next day we heard this sizzling noise coming from the same area, again, we weren't too worried. Later that night I was laying on the couch and Bella kept climbing on top of me and sniffing the wall behind the couch, it was so weird, she's never done anything like that. The next day, one of our lamps started turning on and off on its own, even though the light switch was turned off. We pulled the couch back (same place Bella wouldn't stop sniffing the night before) and saw that the outlet looked like it had been burned. We immediately called Paul, Kurt's dad, who is an electrician. Even though he was terribly sick (so was Kurt at this point) he checked out our outlets and found this in two places! The outlet was burning from the inside out..yikes! Here's another pic of Bella sniffing things out with the help of 'Daddy'.

Pneumonia Update

Thanks so much for all the prayers and support for us in the midst of Kurt's illness. He is doing much better. He started working again this Monday (driving busses). He's still got a regular cough and low energy but he is so much better than last week. He has a check up in early February, hopefully he will be fully recovered by then. Until then we will continue to make sure he gets lots of water, rest, and keep his cough syrup and inhaler nearby. He should be fully recovered before Wes gets here in mid to late February.

Weston Paul Newman

Well, Kurt and I realized that there's plenty of people who we haven't had a chance to tell "Chips" official name yet.  So we thought the best way was to just post it, we decided officially on Christmas Eve and we are super excited to be able to say stuff like, "hey, will you go put that in Wes' room," or, "Wes must like this food because he's kicking a lot!"  I am 34 weeks now, I can't believe how quickly it is coming! Can't wait to meet little Weston.
